New World Hatters in Chicago

Has anyone had a fedora made by New World Hatters in Chicago? Or seen one?

An acquaintance suggested I go there to have some hats made. He indicated they'd make one for a very reasonable price.

However, I'm new to custom hats, and while there are Optimo and others around, perhaps for my first custom, New World Hatters might be the ticket.

Any information a forum member is willing to share would be most appreciated.

Well, since my post didn't receive any answers, I sought help on another forum, and thankfully did receive valuable feedback.

From what I can tell, New World Hatters is something of a local Chicago phenomenon, and a venerable one at that.

Some day soon I'll drop by their shop and see what's up. With the recommendations I received from the acquaintance mentioned in my original post, plus some online encouragement, a visit to their abode is the least I can do.
