Still Life with Hats . . .

A few months back Marc Chevalier treated us to a terrrific collection of photos of old window displays of hats from the late 1910s and early 1920s.
A wonderful collection . . .

Well, needless to say, I was inspired. After all, most of us tend to think of our classic styles as works of art . . . so I decided to take my collection and create my own work of art.

What follows is my "Still Life with Hats" . . .

How long have you been collecting?

I have been wearing fedoras since 1975 . . .
I have been a fan of classic, vintage hats since around 1980 . . .
But I only started collecting around 10 years ago.

This picture represents my regular rotation of felts. Maybe in the spring I will try my hand at a straw still life.
