Ebay Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

I won this last night. It seems I had no competition from any other bidders. Its a size 6 7/8, but some time on the stretcher should get this baby up to a size 7. I just thought it was cool that the hat came with the original canister. I know that the canister says 6 3/4, but Im pretty confident that the canister was from the same era as the hat even if it was from a different sized hat. The color appears to be a green heather. I can't wait to have it in my hands.

Gray Strat with beige ribbon. Needs a cleaning and reshaping. The sweat is pretty beat up. I like the color combo, though.

Charcoal colored 3X mode edge. Needs to be shaped and cleaned.

Two GREAT pickups. Both hats should clean up and re-shape just fine. I really love the color combo of the strat. Beige really makes grey felt just POP out. Can't wait to see some head shots of both of those lids once they are cleaned and reshaped. :eusa_clap:eusa_clap

+1. It looks new. Having the original tube is a real score. The only ad I can recall for that one is from 1947, and I think that this is the first time I've seen the hat. Congrats.

Thank you very much Lefty!! Ive never seen that advertisement before, but I just saw it on ebay and I think I will buy it to go along with the hat and container. I think its really cool that the hat has a line going down the center almost like an optimo block, minus the very square top block.

That 3x above isn't mine, and neither is this nice, albeit dirty/stained Sovereign, 7 1/2. Cleaned up, it should prove to be a great buy for someone.
