Saturday afternoon, on the river in Oxford with the New Sheridan Club.

We were incredibly fortunate with the weather. Horrendous rain in the morning gave way to a dry afternoon, and held off right up until five minutes after we returned the boats. I did indeed spend a large part of the day in the company of these very attractive young ladies, both of whom are, I believe, known in these parts. :)

I am dying to ask...what is that long thing next to the head of your walking-stick in the second photo? It's not a monocle, is it?

The monocle's between the jacket and trousers (any pics wearing it?). Is the chain on the trousers a keychain?

Spectacular, Bugsy. I like the picture of everything laid out, too, very much like a '30s catalogue illustration.

Hello Nick, thank you for the compliment. Coming from you, that is high praise, indeed. Sorry, I took the monocle off early in the evening, but you have a good eye (pardon the pun). That is a gold key chain.

Nice boater Edward :D

Thank-you! It's my first decent one.... a bit of a jump in price (GBP40.00) up from the cheapoes, but definitely worth it to have one that's properly lined, with a leather sweat band, and a good, stiff brim. Fragile hats (not one to leave lying around where it might get sat on!), but well worth it.

I'm a day late (and a dollar short, but aren't we all), in posting this. This was my outfit for yesterday, helping out with a birthday trolley charter. I got to debut my new blue uniform and it all worked well, so I was one cheerful conductor/merry motorman. :)

Relaxing at the end of the day. Jacket and vest are form a thrifted 3-piece suit, pants from Lord knows where, but not an exact match for the suit. As nice as they look, I did buy them expecting that they'll get a bit worn or dirty with time and use.
I picked up a new tie bar that I discovered in the bottom of a bin at the museum store. A nicely rendered PCC streetcar, close-ish in paint to Pittsburgh.
And my favorite part, the cap with changeable cap badges. Cap is from Hats in the Belfry, and the badges are ordered from a T-shirt and trophy customization shop in town.

It was a nice day, our young birthday guest and his friends had fun, and so did our jolly bunch of trolley volunteers. I wish I could dress this way every day, just because the conductor's outfit really brings out that unflappably friendly attitude in me.

I know this is REALLY late, but good outfit. Rockhill has a nice museum, I was a member at the National Capital Trolley Museum. Only difference in the uniforms was an Eisenhower style jacket instead of the long jacket. I still have it I think, but it's gotten a bit tight in places; must have shrunk some over time. Very nice tie bar also! The PCC is definitely my all time favorite.

Snapped in the back yard, enjoying some potent French beer and an American Spirit roll-up! Just bashed my first hat – an old, slightly stained Royal Stetson that, until an hour ago, had side dents! The jacket is a 1940s/50s McGregor from the FL's very own aswatland, wool lapel vest by RL, Gap chambray shirt, Edwin Nashville jeans, Acme boots, vintage neckerchief... googly eyes, model's own! :D
