For me, I'd rather have the items ahead of time.
It's not like food is going to sit and be unused.

Congratulations on making it home.
Maybe you should invest in a 4 wheeler, so you can ride that when the next storm rolls in.
I had an uncle do that when Jackson MS iced over back in the 80's.
Of course he was pulled over, but it took the cops a long time to catch up with him.
