It's an interesting leather/color.
The red knits and the lighting in the photo bring out the red in the color, but the color is pretty accurate in those photos.

The dark brown knits bring out more of the brown in the hide color.

I believe that CBI's GW "Acme" was made from the same leather....though it may have been a different batch. Here is a link to a thread he posted here some time back when he received his jacket;

His jacket looks browner than mine in these photos...though I believe I've seen some other photos he's posted where the color looks closer to what my jacket looks like in the photos I posted.
It would be interesting to see how the leathers look side by side.

Thank you for the info. Goodwear is my next target. This might very well be the colour. I am still thinking about the style though as I want a slim fit jacket and am leaning towards some pre-war contracts.
