Love the Gold embossed lettering against the blood red leather patina of the sweatband . Fur felt is exceptionally light and pliable.

WOW, Vic!!! That is spectacular!! I was tempted to buy that one myself because of the incredible condition of that Oxblood colored sweatband. It looks like it was never worn.

ooooh, hats with provenance! I do love that! Are the sweatbands printed with names or initials of the prominent man who owned them?

No, just initials of one of the descendants on one of the hats. The seller did not even try to "sell" the provenience on ebay.
