The unknown Strat clone is almost dry. The ribbon has a few spots showing so I may have to try the white vinegar/distilled water trick. One bug divot to fill & a small surface cut to hide. Tried a quick crease by hand just for pics, didn't take the time to brush out the felt.

This came a little while ago. Surprised I didn't hear a knock at the door. Nicer than the seller's pics conveyed, the felt on this post-Stetson acquisition Mallory is AMAZING. No kidding, I am surprised how nice it is. It's clearly a factory teardrop bash, but a simple touch here and there and it changes so easily. Buttery velvet, truly! A medium grey, I seriously dig this lid!

Magnificent Mallory Doug! I like the factory crease, buck the diamond and keep the "C". What is the liner logo like? Is it an Aristocrat? This was a great find, Ebay?

Yes, Aristocrat Quality. I love it! I got an email from the seller of the Champ Featherweight Kasmir finish hat saying he had another excellent condition hat on ebay... get this, IF I was interested. I was jet lagged beyond belief (may still have a nasty bacteria and/or parasites; go Cipro!), but stumbled onto ebay with 12 or 17 minutes to go and at 8 seconds, dropped a bid and Won! LOL.

Picked up the Slats Gill Commemorative Playboy Clone from Mike Miller this morning. Posted in the NW Hats thread. Light as a popcorn fart and smooth and great hand. Armory Tingle "Slats" Gill was the Oregon State basketball coach for 36 seasons. Two final four appearances and numerous conference championships. Our coliseum is named after him. It was known as the "house that Slats built" from 1950 when it was constructed, and officially named after his death in 1966. It is an honor to emulate his 1935 staff portrait, and will be worn at a number of OSU Sesquicentennial events.
