Time to resuscitate a thread. Don't really want to start one for the question I have, but I think this comes pretty close to it. My query runs thus: my turn is coming up shortly - when I say shortly, I mean that I'm on the 21 month mark and I think the waiting time is 24 - and my attention is drifting back to what A-2 I'm finally going to go for!
Despite my best efforts to persuade myself otherwise, I'm kind of fixed on a late contract Dubow - I love the dull purple knits, though I'm not sure if I'm going for russet or seal. Question is, looking at the pics page, I see the knits come with the 27798 and 1755 contracts - is there any great difference in the fit between the two?

John Chapman cloned X 20 = three-month wait time? Only so many hours in the day for one man to accomplish something.

There must be a mistake. Did you email John?

To be clear, I have had several email exchanges with John, in which he has has explained that with losing his secretary and with his mother’s passing somethings have slipped through the cracks. John has graciously offered me a jacket at significant discount and upgraded zippers etc. I have provided my measurements and photos to him recently and I expect to have a jacket at some point. I really haven’t pressed the issue very hard either I am not the guy who sends daily emails asking for updates, calls weekly etc. His most recent email to me was in July and Last time I emailed him was September.

Being a one man band can mean the bureaucracy side becomes a tyrant in of itself. You spend your day making jackets, driving through the orders, and then at the end of the day you sit down to look at the laptop and there are 80 emails waiting for you. Can't be fun.

@Boyo That is way too long. I would be pretty annoyed too if he admitted the mistake from his side in July and nearly 5 months later still no solution.
Can't he put you at the top of the queue? You sure waited long enough. Good on you though for being so patient and polite about it.

Would you mind telling us when you paid your deposit? I put mine down in Dec 2015, so almost two years ago, i was starting to think about it again, but if i have two more years to go i would like to know about it!
Also, were you "forgotten" about? Or has the waiting time slipped so far behind for everyone?

I'm in a similar position to @Boyo. I got to the start of the queue in 2015, but I was being indecisive about what to get, and then my order got lost down the back of the proverbial filing cabinet with everything else that John went through.

I swapped emails with John a few weeks back, and the order is still live, and he'll get onto it in the next couple of months. I wonder if those of us who've been delayed are the people who didn't shout enough.

I'm not too worried about the delay. A gym habit has meant my shape changed a bit, and I'm in the process of rejigging my wardrobe. I'd have been gutted had my lovely, new Good Wear no longer fitted. :)

@Thuggee, I certainly agree nothing is worth a 4 year wait, but its just a jacket, if it never shows I'll be ok.
@Fonzie, he has my order and measurements.. i almost expect it to show up unexpectedly one day.
@Carlos840, I put my deposit down April 2014, yes according to John, my order was misplaced somewhere along the line.
@Graemsay, sounds like a similar situation to mine, probably best to stay on top of communication with John
