Line of jackets made by Schott for motorcycle and motorcycle apparel stores in the 70s to early 80s, then a quick run in 90s— when I think your jacket was made.

This one is not the real deal but soooo beautiful leather (I guess Shinki) IMO and different cossak style of the Japanese maker Colimbo!

Rare and quality finds are more than welcome in this thread. This is a good deal for someone who's specifically been after this jacket, for example so I'm totally fine with people posting anything they just really like.

Not sure how the Fieldmaster models compare to the Oakbrooks, but this could be a nice purchase for someone. Maybe @tmitchell59 knows about Fieldmasters?

Somebody bought this for $150...I asked several unanswered questions...couldn't make sense of the posted numbers but either way somebody came up big time for a paltry sum:

With this example, I think one also needs to factor in the torn lining and the cost of repairing or replacing it. If it didn't fit (with an 18" chest and 22" sleeves, it's looking pretty small), it seems the chances of flipping it for a profit aren't great. Maybe you'd break even.
Yeah the measurements were super bizarre...28" back length....nothing made sense. Liner would've been a $180-200 repair.

That Windward is the jacket that ELMC call their Windward. There is one for sale in Japan

Yeah, I wouldn't feel too bad about that one getting away. Cool jacket but no way it measured 28" in length with those chest/sleeve proportions.

Interesting to see this is most likely where ELMC got the inspiration for their Windward model.
The thing is the length is likely the one measurement that's easiest not to fubar.

Having owned TWO ELMC Windward jackets and a Vanson Raider, it's a great style and the modern remakes are better than the original. But maybe not 10x better.

I don't normally like elastic in leather jackets, or in clothing generally, apart from socks and underwear, but I don't even think about it on the Windward. It's pretty much a non-factor.

Yeah if I had the option I’d ditch the elastic waist but I forget about it 95% of the time it’s such a cracking jacket.
