Ton, you've replicated every bit of the magic of your 1-2-3 Bootleggers and it's an OTR jacket. And the black color looks phenomenal on you. DO NOT SELL.

It’s the same silky rayon as your brown version, only it’s black instead of OD. So easy to put on/take off.
My brown one actually has a green cotton drill lining, looks nice but I often wished it was rayon in the sleeves, as they’re quite slim and it makes it hard to put on with certain shirts or jumper.
This version you just got has improved lots of details, I love it.

I think that’s really a credit to Thurston Bros. Carrie knows what she’s doing. Next step is to rebuild my super 70’s white label. That’s about it for me. If that isn’t possible a premier HWM will get me very close.

I really can’t recommend it enough man. This is what I had hoped for the first go round.

Tonnage, I am not a cross-zip fan really, but that is a damn fine looking jacket. I really like the D-pocket and flap, which is my favourite part.

...hard to justify paying for a custom jacket if this is what you get off the rack. And yeah, the pocket is really nice! Love it how they've shaped the flap on the D-pocket, not just cut it into a square and called it a day. Lots of nice details all around.

Very good fit Ton! It feels good when off the rack works out better than custom

Update:
Reordered the restock from Thurston Bros and I couldn’t be happier I did. The key differences are the now hidden d pocket snaps, the half belt strap direction and this batch of z150. It’s considerably thicker and softer. I’d swear it was the naked comp weight Vanson put out in the late 90’s. It has the exact same feel and I suspect it will age the same. The fit is the about the same with a slighty more generous sleeve profile. Still a very slim fit cross zip but this batch of z makes it so much more wearable. Vanson makes a great product. They aren’t perfect but I think for the cost they are are a good value. This chapter is closed.

This is a really good looking jacket and fits you very well as all of your cross zip jackets! Haven’t heard of this Vanson jacket before.

I think I have to go against the grain here and say this is not my favorite cross zip I've seen you in...it looks like a rubber jacket. Why'd you get rid of that beautiful LW D-Pocket?

The LW actually felt like rubber! Like a tire. This does have a shiny topcoat but from the feel it will dull pretty quick. This hide is thicker than my last cordo BL but much, much softer than the LW 4oz. I don’t know if it’s the denimbro in me talking or not but my days of super heavy, ridiculously stiff leather jackets are squarely in the rear view mirror.
