Looking good, Michael. Could you resist the temptation to rummage through those hats? [emoji4]

Thanks Steve. He had a couple of okay hats, the rest were resistible. I wouldn't have minded a look at that porkpie.

The green Anderson looks like a nice piece of felt. Wouldn't mind some of that felt and jacket weather here. I'm already so over heat.

Thanks,
Michael

Texas Hatters in the heat, and on the stage.

One of my favorites Jeff! The on stage largeness of this one is apparent. My eye draws to the left, which is a good thing.

Thanks Mike! Definitely not a hat for the weak of heart.
Hope those shots are working well. I had a microdiskectomy when I was 30, and though the pain was gone, I’ve never quite been able to get the strength back or the knots out. Wishing you continued relief!

Yes, it was kind of cool watching them get set up. Went to sleep, woke up feeling much better. I can go back in 4 weeks for a "touch up" if needed. Right now, I have a little pain/problem with my left leg sciatica, but I'll give that a chance to clear up. I know my back problem was wimpy compared to many of us, but I'm such a big baby (for the wife's benefit!) that I thought I was going to die these past few months.
Well, sh*t. Glad you posted this. I was supposed to get a back X-Ray for my pain management a month ago and too many things have been going on here lately, I completely forgot about it. I'll have to call Monday and get that rescheduled.

Funny, the porkpie was the one that caught my eye, too.

Just take care not to do any damage to the nerves in the spinal cord as that can not be reversed.

That's a very nice looking Robert Heath Homburg, Stefan. One you definitely don't want to see blow away.

Love the travel-log pictures. It would be cool to see the pickens at the thrift shops you dig through. Way to rock a black homburg in the real world!

Welcome to the Fedora Lounge. Very nice Semi-colado to make a grand entrance. I'm sure we will cause you to have many "real" hats very soon.
Thanks, gentlemen. Not much chance of the Robert Heath blowing away, but I held on to it anyway. This wasn't a hat-haunt trip, but it's a nice idea to take some snaps of what the hunting grounds look like. Noted.

Early yesterday morning, I went in for epidural shots in my back. So far, I think it was a success. Still have some pain at the injection sites, but the major pain in my spine seems to be gone. I'll have to give it a few days to see what the final verdict will be. It only took since the middle of February to finally get some relief

:) Oh, I did feel it necessary to wear a vintage Italian Borsalino from the early 1960s. The color is "Mirtillo" which means blueberry.

Update: Saturday morning coffee...under my own power! Very little pain. Time to get out a celebratory special hat!

That's very good to hear, Mike. Glad your back is feeling better (at least for now). Borsalino is always a celebration.

Wearing my Bradford Ltd. conversion today. This is one that I stripped down of its thin ribbon and brim binding and almost threw in the trash because of some damage to the hat but I was able to save it and make it wearable again. Silverbelly with an 1 1/2 Burgundy ribbon and my preferred upturned bow work.

I was finally able to cross an item off of my Bucket List. I've been wanting a black Dodge Ram Hemi Express with a 2 door cab for quite a while. I never thought that it was ever going to happen. Most of the time things don't work out the way I'd like, but sometimes, those things hoped for....

Last night I took the Macy's panama down to listen to some music

A rare instant of one of what I consider my better vintage hats to go for a bike ride. The singer/harp player in the first band seems to be something of a hat fan, too.

It's not every day that I run into a hat rack as part of the stage set.

Saw a few more hats onstage and around as well

Which brings me around to today's wear, a Hats in the Belfry panama

I didn't notice the salt stain on the ribbon when I picked it up. A dab of white vinegar took care of that.

Have a great Saturday,
Michael
Great pics, Michael. The band gets an extra round of applause for that hat-rack on stage from the lounge.

Excellent looking hat and great work as usual, Terry. I like that shallow flange on the brim.

Thanks Steve. I got this jacket when I was out thrifting with my sister this spring. She was like OMG that's ugly and I was like how can I resist. Ha ha.

Thanks Stefan.

I like that hat. Great shot of the building too.

Thanks Red. Your mirtillo Borsa is a gem. Good to hear the shots are doing the job.

Thanks,
Michael
