It looks great on you Robie. Enjoy it!Good Morning all. Just received my Phoenix Hat from Rick yesterday. I am very pleased with this hat. It is a thin yet soft felt. A very nice Silverbelly color. If anyone is looking for a good hat at an affordable price, I would suggest getting in touch with Rick.

Thank you, I intend to!It looks great on you Robie. Enjoy it!
Congratulations, Ken! Very interesting brand. They could've just stamped my name right into this hatband. The Tatton Baird feels like it came off my conformer. Perfect fit. Arrived today from the ebay seller in the original hatters box. Very well made pure beaver. All seams, ribbon, and finishes appear top notch. I'm most happy with the soft, rich Coyote color & finish. Brim 2.75 / Crown creased to 5.25. The Country Gentlemen from Tatton Baird. 2 thumbs up for this OR clone. Thank you sir. I like the crown also. My wife thought it too tall, but not me! I really wanted a contrasting ribbon, but couldn't decide which color. So we decided to do it this way, and I have to say, it came out very well.Rick did a great job with that. Big fan of the tone on tone mid ribbon and the dimensions suit you well. Great crown. You're wearing it well.
Really like his style of hat.Pretty cool shop too....
^^^What BB said, Robie. The tone on tone is among the things that makes the hat vintage appearing.Rick did a great job with that. Big fan of the tone on tone mid ribbon and the dimensions suit you well. Great crown. You're wearing it well.
Has anyone ordered a new, custom homburg recently? I'm wondering how today's crop of hat makers are doing with this style?
I was very close to order a homburg form Mr P, however I was covered with some vintage finds I must say though that I have seen some in person when in his shop and they looked decent to me.No, but i saw this one from Agnoulita hats, and i liked it very much, especially the color combination. I’ve only seen pictures but Mike Miller (The Northwest Hat Co) has made a bunch that look nice.Has anyone ordered a new, custom homburg recently? I'm wondering how today's crop of hat makers are doing with this style?
Totally with you on this one Brent. Very recently Hornskov launched a new classic line with a claimed d'orsay curl but I am not sure how that compares to the vintage ones. Some of the current custom hats look decent, but they just don’t have the same brim curl that I like so much in the better vintage homburgs.
