This 141 may (should) have a production ticket/tag in one of the pockets (usually one of the left side pockets). This tag will have the stated size, the Lot number etc. If it has a long series of numbers (10 or 12), you could be able to get the production year of the jacket from that number series. The Schott Forum on their website can aid in this. Its something like, the 5th number from the left will be the last number of the production year. Its not totally exact, but say the number is a 9--- you can deduce it was produced in 2019, 2009, 1999 and from there, using other cues on the jacket such as zipper/snaps, liner, Schott main label, you can generally pinpoint the production year. The "football" underarm design if present would be a cue that would indicate a newer model as this design is seen as an updated and improved design for better movement. If you are interested in dating this jacket--check out the Schott forums. If Gail is still around, she is a retired longtime Schott employee who is a wealth of knowledge on Schott jackets and she is active on the Forum. She's extremely helpful--a de facto Brand ambassador.

This off eBay recently. Schott #141 in size 40. It’s nicely broken in. Came with removable liner too and it fits pretty well. Got it for riding and the side adjust tabs and gusseted back are why I went for this one. Not sure of vintage but it has a heavy duty YKK zipper .

I personally like the maple better. I think once the shine tones down it will look a lot better. The grain begs to look vintage and until it breaks in it's a bit of a contradiction.

Not counting that one member that got a Langlitz jacket and pants for $30 on Craigslist. XD But yeah, this is a steal. And it just might be their heavyweight cowhide they no longer use. The leather is particularly thick at the sleeve zip gusset and it's paper thin on their standard cow.
