Great hat and even better providence. Thanks for sharing Steve.

Yesterday evening I was rigging the posts for the dock. After the cold and wet work I sipped a Guinness. I wore a Gannon (beaver in natural) for the effort. The hat needed to be steamed and leather treated(dried and conditioned) as I worked up quite a sweat.

This morning I dressed to lightly for the 35'f weather for my morning dog soirée. A Knox fedora was my headgear. This hat needs to stay on the hat rack for more wearing as it is truly a special felt and edge treatment. It is a very light gray that becomes white in direct sunlight. The Knox hats of this and previous decades had the corrugated styled sweat and is sooo comfortable to wear. Just a fine hat!

Eric, Thanks! Fantastic duo from you with the Gannon and Knox!

Yay!!
Took 2 sec to know what this one was.
MGL is such a fine hat. Feels like a cross between a chinchilla and a horse’s nose, i say.
Great color and condition on that one R.
Evidently Sal had some Napolian competition with the MGLs. Lol

I agree with the soft animal comparisons.
Hats make great pets. And, we don’t have to feed and water, or clean up poop after them, so even better, if ya ask me!

Greetings All:
Today....in the spirit of week longs and 30 in 30s i’ll do my part with a week of Churchills all be it abbreviated.
The week started yesterday and ends today with a sugar white ORish 4 dent. Much more pliable felt than the 50 but impressive felt the same. It came pre-dented too. Must be a Churchill thing.
Well, week over or better said weak over.
Be well and safe.
Bowen
Ps: Mr. Glass head is taking no chances either. Seems he’s social distancing the dog and me but he still works, essentially. Ha

Terrific hat sir. Churchill hats quickly bring to mind their namesakes quote," A fanatic is one who can't change his mind and won't change the subject." A quote that current events bring to mind. Thanks for sharing your the hats on your awesome hat rack.

Snow gone? Cheers! On occasion, like you we get snow flurries into May but they melt right away. Winter clothes stay out, while the snow shovels, and snowblower get stored. Great hat for chores.

Great hat and even better providence. Thanks for sharing Steve.

Glorious ribbon and hat. I am curious and will watch the cleaning process and results.

I am jeleuos of the fresh vegetables! Necessary I say! You wear the hat without effort - cngrats.

Walk, warmth, swim, hat - life is good. Excellent!

I will en devour to do better sir!

No need for envy - go on adventures and go outside and do chores, wear all the hats. I frequently change hats so that I do not love them to death with perspiration, dirt, grim or combos of all.

Glorious English hats and homburgs.

Your post has me salivating. It looks delicious. I have not seen that style of food preparation. Very efficient and I bet the smells are grand. Thanks for sharing.

Hurricane grey. I like the color name and the hat! The binding on the burg is cool, too.
Thanks, Randall. They were inventive with their colour names alright.

Stefan, Thanks! Today is the last day. Will have to think up something else.

Grand finale to English Hat series!
Thank you, Steve. I'm sure we'll think of something.

That's a grand hat, Brent!

Today....inspired to the Max, i’m slummin with Max’s half brother.
The Beaver 50. As fine a felt as one could ask.
This one has a crease that is probably my overall favorite. Not my doing, it just does itself.
Churchill days are good for the soul.
Still good here in Almost Heaven country.
Be well and safe.
Bowen
Ps: i noticed that’s another Churchill over my shoulder. It owns the four dent!
B

The felt on these Churchills sure looks special.
