Do you like to fish, Eric? If I lived in Minnesota I would do little else with my free time

Max; I do like to fish. Being smarter and older I fish in great fishing weather, at great spots and am serious when I do it. I am ok not fishing frequently as long as I do it well.

Lawn chores found me sweating in a Tilley. I am enjoying this new to me styled hat for summer chores. Sweaty and dirty - both me and my hat.

A shower and change of clothes found me heading out for a walk thru the neighborhoods with my dog. A Cordova Cap is truly perfect. Warm summer sun with a strong breeze had the top of my head protected and cool. It is like a screen porch for my head.

Steve; Not the fuzzy, chamois glorious complicated/difficult felt of the cool weather felts, but your recent showcased hats have unique, classic and classy hues. The vintage feather adds character. Again, thanks for sharing.

This morning a dog soiree in an unlined brown Stetson Playboy. No humans were seen before 6:30am.

A run was next on the agenda. A walkabout to cool down turned out to be a couple hours in the Park Reserve. A VS Wanderer in a lightweight Art-lite dove hued beaver felt was my fedora choice.

The locals were out in numbers. No humans.

Home and fixing brunch (pasta carbonara with andouille sausage, tomatoes and spinach) had me enjoying my meal on the deck in a VS Wanderer (Art-lite silverbelly beaver felt).

A fine no name straw, Randall.

View attachment 241524 Here’s a mystery straw that I bought for ten bucks along with two cheap garden straw hats. It was sans sweatband and hatband, but the real straw weave is very light and floppy, yet holds its shape well.
I sewed on a black grosgrain ribbon and bow that I took off a Dobbs stingy and sewed in a Resistol sweatband that was also taken from a cheap/ruined western.
I pleated the wide ribbon and bow.
Made for a decent lookin’ straw, and it goes with my new Sheen shirt. think I’m going to include a few more of these lounge styled shirts as part of my summer attire.

I'd call that color Butternut, Randall. Looks fantastic!

Thanks, Randy.
Guess I need to give it a name. Since it reminds me of a hat worn by long gone southern aristocrats, I’ll name it my, “Gentleman Antebellum”.
Quite proper, considering, I think.

Also, Thanks fo giving me the proper color name of the Strat.
