Love my brown caboose so much that I had to get it in black as well. Also got it in a size smaller. Going to be a little tight, but should work for me.

Will be my first serious jacket, I owned an 80's/90's Lewis Leathers Monza that was nice but a whole different league leather and construction wise I think.

Wow! This one looks really good, you're definitely in for a treat!
Impressions and fit pics when you get it please :)

Yours looks way better then the pics on their website. How did you get the sizing right? According the sizing table on the website a size 42 has 26.8' back length, which seems a bit long for a cossack.
This is a standard size 40. I would probably have the length of the 38, but It is acceptable. You could Just order one with your specific measurements if you want to.

I just bought my first cossack jacket only in unlined cotton (seems like drill fabrics) though, locally made sub $60. not sure if it would work, but maybe I can wear it with popped collar too, body length scared me but everything else on the chart works even sleeve length seems long, so a size up seems way too generous everywhere it might look like a pajama.

I have a Five Star goatskin knockoff coming. I sent Shawn some pictures of what style I wanted, asked about light weight goatskin, we decided on the lining, thread color, and buttons. I sent him jacket measurements that I wanted and it shipped in less than 2 weeks. View attachment 258004 View attachment 258005 View attachment 258006 View attachment 258008
It turned out nicely! Looks almost identical as the FW Sunset. This light weight jacket for sure is a better choice for the climate you life in since the FW Sunset has a rather thick wool liner plus the rather thick deerskin. Looking forward to fit pics/jacket review.
