I think you argue your case well there, Monitor. I still can't imagine paying more than $80 for a pair of jeans but I get your perspective (and they look great) as you clearly get mine. It's a big world and the Fedora Lounge can deal with differences in values.

It’s like asking what’s better: Cheeseburger or Steak?

One is all about harmonious balance leading to excellence, the other elevates a single element to delicious primacy

Mr. Raja sheepskin jacket (lol yeah, that's actually the brand name even tho it's made in Italy but it's got that home made custom vibe and it's genuinely is a brilliant jacket) x Aero 60's trousers x Harness boots.

So Aero makes a mean jacket but they make incredible leather trousers. Just got home from a pub, these are extremely comfortable despite being 11 lbs of CXL, they fit great, they're fun to wear and they're warm. Most important of all, I wasn't bored. And to think I actually paid more for IH denim jeans when I coulda had these all along but no, I was too chicken sh1t to wear what I wanted to wear.

You should make a review of those leather "jeans" if you haven't already.

Are those lined or unlined?

cheeseburger ftw, steak you need to cut with knife, and do the dishes afterward, cheeseburger just need to kick the pedal of my dustbin with my left foot and throw the wrapper in

Yes, the prices are idiotic (not the jeans or the people) I paid an idiotic $1500 for an Aero half-belt, so I know what I'm talking about
Then maybe I don't get what you mean by saying something is idiotic. If you're saying it's a lot of money, I totally agree with you.

Hmm yeah i thought for a while raised beltloop, selvedge, or continuous selvedge fly, or chainstitch meant something.... but i wake up now, silhouette is the key to victory with pants

It's basically this, yeah.

Once I decided to upgrade my jeans game, I went to the mall thinking I'll easily find something cool there without having to spend hundreds on dollars on a stupid cotton and I have failed. None of the mall jeans gave me the silhouette I found visually appealing online, which is how most IH's and other high(er)-end brands seemed to fit. I couldn't even find a correct looking loose cut, 50's-style jeans either and I'm not much of a fan of those either. Mall jeans mostly had that... Generic & specific jeans fit, be it slim cut, anti cut or whatever cut.

When I bought my 25oz's by IH, that was it - the jeans looked on me like on the best photo online. Same with the Projects. What I'm sayin', these guys know what they're doing and if you care for the difference pricier jeans bring in... Experimenting with a whole bunch of cheapo brand to get there might end up costing you more than a good pair of Naked & Famous in the long run.

And on the topic of jeans, look at Brave Star Selvage if you need an alternative to $200+ jeans. Very affordable, made in the USA denim.

Extremely, mega cool! Really beautiful jacket & a great fit.

Simmons Bilt Nebraska in black goat , being "modelled" along with black Australian made Levi 604's from 1998.
(ebay $40 Aussie /30 USD)

Beefy T easy rider T shirt. I have a fair few of these collected over the years.
I have not seen another in Australia , just another homage to my own personal " Heyzeus of cool" haha..
( That was another self deprecating stab at humour !)

Taken 80 K's south of home on the promenade of the next town south of Perth.

It's been raining all day and i have been switching between these two to get them wet and break them in:
@JMax and @dannyk this should give you an idea of the fit of the HD.
I'll try to take better pics once they are both propoperly broken in, will post a review of the Cycle Champ once i have good pics too.

In the short time i have been wearing them i have developed a soft spot for the Champ, it fits really well and has some really cool sleeves, i prefer them over the Commando, i also prefer the body length. (both are size M)
A CXL Cycle Champ would (actually, "could") be the end of the road.

Edit: Apologies for the crap pics, good jackets deserve better pictures...

@Carlos840 Awesome. I want that HD at some point. I dig the subtle spot work. Fits great too.

Not a Thunderbird back either. This is nicer imo. This may be the pattern I use for my build with Vanson. Though a pocketless D and no patch pocket on the right side. Perhaps I’ll see if they can base my design/pocket configuration on another famous Harley jacket.
