Very nice, Steve. Love these heather felts.
Stefan, Thank you!

Breathtaking, Steve.
Stefan, Thanks again!

Magnificent, Steve. Unusual colour for a velour. The 1937 year would have been very early in the existence of Nehoefa, which is likely why they used "voorheen" (previously known as) on the envelope.
Stefan, Thank you! Also great info.

Intermission. The French were to be found regularly throughout history in the Piemonte region and it belonged to the French until 1861. Don't know where I'm going with this, but there is a short French intermission in Italian week. Here it is.

Thank you, Steve. Yes, the bombetta is a fairly recent addition and a lucky find.

Thanks again, Steve. The French hats are there, but a bit tricky to get. Daniele and I are working on it:)

Brüder Böhm Neutitschein Velour possibly late 1920s. This one was made for the French market.

Fantastic large print dating from the 1930s showing the Vienna and Neutitschein / Novy Jicin (two factories one for felt hoods and one for finished hats) factories. Jonathan the grandson of Victor Böhm owner and chief inventor at Brüder Böhm Wien, Neutitschein / Novy Jicin sent me this photo back in 2015.
