How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

It just looks like any other French coat from the 40s and 50s. "Canadienne" I believe they call it.

It's a classic one.

Yup. I have one, shearling with a heavy canvas (originally waxed?) outer layer. Buttoned double-front, shearling collar to fold up & fasten across the neck, inset storm cuffs etc. Post-war French manufacture. Unfortunately a bit too tight in the chest for me & definitely too short in the sleeves.

But it's INSANELY warm (called a "Canadienne" b/c the design was inspired by the heavy, heavy wool mackinaws worn by Quebecois/Metís woodsmen around the Great Lakes of N.America, known for long, cold, snowy winters). @Marc mndt you could quite likely pull this one off, but I would wait until the very coldest day of your Dutch winter, so that any sukkel's attemept to throw shade will be immediately thwarted by their jealousy of your obvious warmth, comfort, & style.

Fabulous!
Electric Leather Studio is on another level. What a score...can’t wait to see your pics when it shows up!
Thanks! I got notice that it arrived at the distribution warehouse, and paid for shipping. Unfortunately it seems like there's an indefinite hold on Japan-US Air Mail because of Covid stuff, so I might be waiting on this one awhile. -_-

Purchased this repro AfrikaKorps M40 field jacket by Mil-Tec, no patches on it of course. If it weren't for the white trim on the epaulettes, you could easily mistake it for a safari jacket. I find it a better cut than the field jackets worn by the Allied forces, which had a roomier waist, and thus boxier in shape:
