Five Star Leather Jackets

this jacket is nearly complete. Well, Shawn thought it was, but there are several issues that hopefully will be resolved soon. The biggest issue was the omission of the specified internal pocket. Shawn said he will check into my punch list tomorrow. I've also requested pics of the jacket being worn....waiting on those.
I'll post up more soon, when I've heard back from Shawn. I am hoping this jacket is gonna be a winner. I don't believe they have anything like it in their existing inventory of styles.
the hide is "improved CHL, drum dyed all the way through, cowhide", @1.7mm thickness. The color has been all over the place in the photos I've been sent so I'm not certain exactly what I'll receive. LOL!

What specifically do you not like? 5* allows full customization so you could make most any change you need....
Some people here have had good experiences with their shearling jackets.
Off the shelf I would not buy, but with own measurements at any time. I just design my new shearling ;-)

They did initially develop their own pattern, but then got an original and things got better. The redskin is monotone (not like originals), and in my opinion, not a great look, the seal color and fleece it looks nice.

Yes exactly. The hides are for the new Irvin's. The prototype seems to be close to completion.
Looks very good so far! The Halfbelt buckles alone are a huge improvement. Where’s the rest!?? I know there’s more.

according to Shawn, this was a challenge. It’s taken more than a month of emails and texts, back and forth to get it right. I am pretty pleased with the results but as usual, a little apprehensive as to fit. Will know more before too long, hopefully.
Best 5 Star to date from what I can tell. Looks superb!

@Hobbes1 The riveted coat hanger is a nice touch! I've gotta burrow your idea on my future 5star builds. What lining is this? Wool? Natural CHL 2.0 looks softer and deeper color than the first version. Good grains.
