Continuing on the black oldies, another Tanto's contribution to the hat community:
Cambiaghi, from the wool masters of Monza

Love the details: bow, wind cord, textured sweatband and overall Fantastic wool felt.
Fantastic, Panos. I think I have its brother sitting here.

One of your finest, Joe. The colours are great.

A favorite WWI era Stetson clear nutria. This hat was in excellent condition when I received it, but the wide black ribbon (not sure if original) was hanging by a thread. I removed it and added this narrow horsehair band. The Fray sweatband is remarkable... supple and strong as if it has another hundred years in it. The store in this southern New Mexico town where it was sold appears to have been a supplier of military uniforms during the first World War.

Perfect survivor hat, Alan. Shape and felt look marvelous.

Very nice, Reggie. I love the Averla colour.

Beautiful day with temperatures outside the norm, especially in the middle of the day.

Stroll up to the office with a close friend who has worked as a graphic designer for many years.
She was one of the best of our generation.

This unusual Borsalino accompanied me between red and yellow leaves and the last green.

Borsalino "Brughiera-Heath" with "Ombù" ribbon.
View attachment 377924
The felt is a pronounced heather, malleable and with one of the most interesting hatband colors among the Borsalino combinations.

We took a step back together when she and I conceived advertising campaigns.
It seems to me a century has passed:rolleyes:
It's a heather and worn in the season for them; perfect!

That turned out fantastic, Brent.

This quite new, this century, and recently aquired Borsalino for a night out. Looks best in the light of the night, as do I :)

I would have thought the "international man of mystery" style and moving in the shadows would be right up your alley, Steve;)

Elegant in its simplicity.
Another cool one, Panos. There's something irresistable to these older hats.

Panizza Marca Oro. The second of the three hats I recently bought from Daniele. More in the "Post New Hats" thread.

Have a wonderful weekend, folks.

Unique hat. Good to see it got a home.

A night in Osaka had me in my Hornskov Broker (camel with moss ribbon)…

Great hats and pics as usual, Gary. No food pics this time; shame;)

Great shape and style, Joe. One thing about these black hats is that they can be dust-magnets sometimes.
Enjoying the Lumson Hubbard - The Colonel and a well earned break this afternoon after replacing my collapsed closet clothes rack. Trying to avoid the dreaded next step of digging through all the clothes piled up on my bed deciding what makes the cut to go back in the closet.

Borsalino Ecospo in Pineta. Probably the hardest hat in my collection to capture colorwise as it green with brown undertones that really shine through in sunlight. Today the green was rather muted:

Apologies for the wonky crown. A strong gust of wind dislodged it while out and about. Fortunately I caught it mid air before landing in a sloppy wintery mix. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. I switched to the more suitable aerodynamic Woodrow bowler (recently shown) later in the day.
I'll say it's brown (and ignore the green:D). Wonderful brown Borsalino, Jonathan! But I do need to find myself a coat like that.

Thanks, Stefan. Nothing too special for dinner last night, but plenty of beverage photos in the Hats & Drinks thread.

Wow that Broker looks especially great on you Gary. You both look fabulous
Thanks, Joe. It’s definitely a favourite. I’ve got two more Hornskovs coming for Christmas.
I love that big open crown Stetson you were wearing.
Same hat and very nearly the same outfit for day two in Osaka.

Etsuko also repeating with her Maxim - we could only take one hat each with us to Osaka.

Very nice, Gary. He really knows how to get the brim curl in there to perfection.

I’m becoming quite a fan of the curly brims. Both of the new Hornskovs will also have it. And of course I have a Bowler & a Homburg with curly brims!
I love that Cervo…and the Panizza…and the Barbisio. Of course the others aren’t too shabby, either.

Yes, these curled brimmed ones can be quite addictive;) Thanks for the likes, Gary.

Kansas City Hatters has a face book page and it says by appointment only, one would assume they are still in business. I would guess that by appointment only means it is more of a part time endeavor. Check it out.

Great hats, as usual, Stefan. I liked the new Borsalino Farotto Malva in the Borsalino Brotherhood thread, but love it seeing it worn. Such a great hat and I don’t see anything feminine about it as worn.

Thank You Blare for all your contributions, always with great pictures of your amazing collection.
Seeing you wear an open crown....open, makes Me curious about this look.
Billy Gibbons ( ZZ-Top ) is really the only other person I have seen, who wears an open crown- open regularly.
I like the look because of the crown hight an open crown (open) brings.
Considering leaving the BGCD (which I'm still waiting to arrive) as an open crown.
Nice to see others wearing it open.
