A 50s Knox Panama for services this morning. While there, a friend was wearing a blue bow tie that he thought would look good with my shirt and hat. So I put it on and got a picture. It was the first time wearing a bow tie for me.

The bow tie compliments the Knox Panama superbly Bill, and as others have commented, surgery and weight loss have created a new Bill. Compliments to you.
You might find bow ties can become as addictive as hats. One of my shirts that Tina made depicts scenes from the golden era:

The fabric was expensive, to match the pattern as Tina does, created quite a bit of waste.
So my clever lady came up with an idea of using up that waste.

And to get back to hats, I'm wearing this same blazer today with one of
my new bespoke hats that's still very much a novelty.

At work, where my attire often gets remarked on, (mostly complimentary,)
someone said, "I bet you're wearing cuff links." So I just smiled and pulled up my sleeve.

Warmer and humid this morning found me in an unlined Champ Featherweight fedora.

On this Memorial Day I deliberately took a long moment to remember all our heroes who have left us while fighting for our country. Thank you to all who have served the US and protected our freedoms.

Cheers, Eric -

Charcoal stingy Biltmore Royal today. My first hat bought new in the early 90's. Recently had a shop take it in for a reblocking, new sweat and new ribbon. They absolutely butchered it, and that spurred me on to learning how to do it myself so that I could make it wearable again.
It's not all the way there, but at least it's wearable again. Not gonna be able to get it much better until I can get my hands on a hat block to straighten the sides of the crown and soften the severe taper they put in.

Late to post, but here we go…
I had to work in Osaka on Sunday, but was able to take Monday off and spend the night there. I wore my Panama, Etsuko her Borsalino.
Sunday (after changing out of my suit)…

The koala and kangaroo are part of a teddy bear exchange we’re doing with our sister school in Australia.
