John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. How thick is the hide, Ton?This is my second attempt at an IBEX E/W knock off. This is a 44”. The 42” was too small.

Not sure. Should be here by the weekend. The first one I had was fairly thin. Just from this shot alone this tan looks a bit thicker and nicer. I’ll report back! How thick is the hide, Ton?
Excessive? Depends who you ask, my partner would certainly think so, to me it just sounds familiar-I was just recapping my current interests and here what it looks like:
- 1 currently ordered jacket (long term)
- 1 jacket about to be ordered
- 1 jacket in talks
Then there are the list of what I am lusting after:
- 1 for the design (buttons)
- 1 for the type (longer, maybe a trench)
- 1 for the warmth (maybe shearling)
- 1 specifically for riding (thinking about Lewis Leathers)
There are a few others as well, this is getting quite excessive... how about you guys?
This is in incredible shape.I saw one of Terry Mitchell's YouTube videos a couple years back, and this is the jacket that started the whole journey for me. 1st edition 1948 Hercules motorcycle jacket. I paid a pretty penny for it, but it's at least worth a trial run for me.

Received it and it is nice shape. Has some small perforations from old patches but hardly noticeable to me. I've found there's a sweet spot in obtaining vintage - if you go too old I can't shake the feeling that the jacket will spontaneously combust while wearing. Late 1940s seems to be the sweet spot unless you found a unicorn. This is in incredible shape.
I have an early WWII M422A jacket that belonged to my wife's grandfather during the war. If you're not careful when putting it on, the seams can rip at high-stress areas. You need to be very gentle with it, and I imagine the same with the older jackets you're describing.Received it and it is nice shape. Are you going to be able to flatten out the collar flap on that PW ?
I’m not sure I understand what collar flap is, lol. I actually love the collar, it lays exactly the way I clip all my collars that don’t lay this way. I’ve owned about a dozen PW jackets and I think this might be my favorite. They typically sell for sub $100 and for the money they can’t be beat! Are you going to be able to flatten out the collar flap on that PW ?
That sorta thing would drive me crazy and I wouldn't be able to enjoy the jacket if I couldn't fix the collar flap.
