I sure hope so. I had some info in PMs on there that I printed but have since misplaced - information about jacket construction, material links, etc. I'd hate to not be able to recover that. My fault, though.
Here's to hoping for a stress less recovery.

Diver,
I'm sure you know by now that such caps were private purchase. Since they were not issued they were sourced from sporting goods suppliers, Sears, etc.
Keep up the work!

2Jakes, any luck? I have never owned a shuttle machine but loops like what you show are often due to something other than simple tension adjustments. When that has happened to me, there is usually something misrouted or hanging up. I bet you could crank on the adjustment until it breaks the...
You are unlikely to be able to sew through HDPE or any other tough plastic - unless you have a very powerful machine. I'm not sure why you would need to sew through the brim. I would just use cardboard if sewing through them is important but that won't be as durable. You would still need an...
Dean, thanks for the kind words.
Edward, the B-1 was very common. If one does a search for, say, bomber crew pics the B-1 will be somewhere in most of them - summer or winter, ETO or Pacific.

Wow. Gene didn't you get my email in your Yahoo/PP account address?.... or the question on here?
Not upset about the shirts but was certainly trying to contact you several ways and want to know if there is a comm problem with my acct or otherwise on my end?
Dave
Interested in first two. Couldn't PM for some reason.
Oh, I thought I had more posts than 9! Perhaps when I reentered my info a while back it reset?
Maybe I'm imagining things. Still interested in the shirts. PP?

Oops, sorry. Thought those were the same pics shown.
I've never seen that label on a Perfecto. Much easier to date with the snap/Perfecto label combo. Might be a jacket made under contract by Schott?
Nice looking for sure.
Dave
That's a great shot!
Is "flat caps" referring to the bill remaining flat instead of curved? I've seen that a lot on goofy looking mall caps. Again, nothing new though. The AAF B-1 way the same way..... and functional.
