    I ordered a travel Borsalino online and via telephone from this nice lady named Gilda a couple of years ago: http://www.hatalog.com/ Silver Springs is maybe a half hour outside of Baltimore. I haven't been there, but it seems like a real hat store to me.

I tried it on an old stetson conversion and it softened the felt, brought out...

    2 1/2" to 2 3/4" for me, although my indoctrination to wearing a fedora in public began with a vintage gray Knox with a 2" welted edge brim--it seems tiny on my head now.

    For me it is always brim down in front, except if it gets in the way shooting 8 ball, a distraction I notice only when I'm losing.
