I bought this beautiful gown yesterday. I think it's late 40's/early 50's? I'm chuffed with it! Now I just need somewhere to wear it... Here is the fabric more true to colour: I think it's a cut velvet on silk? I'm sure it would have had a lovely drape, but it was dry-cleaned right...

I'm often told that my eyes are amber coloured. They go quite lurid in direct sunlight and look a bit unsettling, but in shadow they are pretty dull and boring. I'm not really sure what colour to call them! They're a bit close for comfort, but here are some pictures... In natural light...
