i just received a resistol 990 it says on the inside sweatband. self conforming beaver 25 kitten finish. This one came with the original box and has original tags inside . unfortunately i have no pictures so if anybody has a picture of a black resistol 990 feel free to post it here :-)

The information is from an article where John Garvan Cavanagh, manager of the store at that time, was interviewed. There are photos, but none show hats well enough to tell. But, even if the snapbrims were measured in 1/8 widths, they could go from 3" at the widest, say, down to 1 7/8", or...

hmm interesting, keep the knowledge flowing im enjoying this. so are you saying rlk, that the brim width for my style of hat from the time it appears to date from is unusual? the hat hasnt arrived yet so we'll have to see what it looks like in person.

heres a hat i just won, the auction says it is a dunlap supreme kashmir fur felt. ive never owned a dunlap, how does the quality stack up?
