I watched bits of the ALL DAY coverage here and saw some nice Panama hats, some nice fur felt, more than a few large westerns, some crazy horse shoe and feather festooned monstrosities, and plenty of hipster plaid stingies. Eventually, the the sun appeared and a horse race broke out. 
I made myself an Old Fashioned and wore my new Akubra Hampton in tribute.
