Thank you Foofoogal. You know, I'm not sure if it is a reverse painting! But I believe so, must take a closer look. I have a lot of reverse painted vintage jewelery - love it.

I've been on a mission to neaten up my vintage jewelery collection, as most of it is in several boxes. I've put just my favourites on this hanger type jewelery display..so far so good..only I need a few more. I'm always struggling with organization and display! Guess I need some display cases.

Here is a new pair I just got that are not quite like anything else I've seen! I've posted pics of a couple of ways I imagine they could be worn. What REALLY confuses me though is that the 2 earrings in the pair are IDENTICAL, not a reverse image of each other like most types of wrap earrings. They both seem to fit the right ear fine, but not the left. I don't understand how to wear them!??!!

I spent most of my retail career in fine jewelry. I've seen in-and-out hoops, leverbacks, threaders, jackets, interchangeables, cuffs, you name it. I have never seen anything quite like those, KittyT! They are yummy but baby, they sure have me stumped! If anyone finds any info on these, I'd sure love to be enlightened.

I had considered that they could be dress clips. I'm sure they're not, though, since half of the rhinestones are attached to the back of the clip, and worn as a dress clip, this part would not be visible.

Maybe they're two halves of two sets of the same earring... someone goofed way back when and now you're reaping the frustrations.

This was another idea I had but it seems so strange. In any case, I'm thinking this is the case and it makes me wicked bummed *sad face*

I really hope that's not the case - the thought has crossed my mind though. There's no way that they may be dress clips for a spaghetti strap dress - so you could see all of the rhinestones?

Could definitely be done. There are other things I could do with them - hair ornaments, etc. I actually have a broken sweater clip that I use in my hair instead!

$75.00. I think that is reasonable. They are fab.
I have to dig thru some old photos I have. My brother went to school with a girl way back and I have the photos. She has these type of earrings on. Wild. Maybe a new trend will take off.
