What's ridiculous about that quiz is that behaviors that were mainstream for ordinary Americans in the thirties and forties -- sewing your own clothes, re-using and recycling old goods, walking instead of driving, and so forth -- are considered marks of "hippie" now. The Boys have done their job well.

I am also sure the 30-40s crowd was not smoking dope as well as deathly afraid of soapy water.

Nice but they put it in the wrong area---where it snows and gets WAY too cold.Sunday, I went to this open house, turned out, this was a Sears & Roebucks cataloger kit house. It can be yours for only $425,000, and it's on a busy street to boot!

There's entire neighborhoods of those Sears houses here -- they're all around a hundred years old, and they're all still in very nice condition. You might pay $150,000 for one here.
