thank you! it happens to be my newly acquired (ebay) adam royal. can't tell the vintage but, the stock tag is still intact. it reads as follows; adam royal, daily P38, color: stone. and priced at $5.95. if any of this means anything...I guess I'd put it somewhere in the late 40's early 50's? no way of knowing I guess but, it's my favorite...for now anyway!

Well its happened again. I start in one place and end in another. I currently have 4 fedoras. 2 crushable wool fedoras a Biltmore Brooklyn and a Stetson Whippet.
I made the pilgrimage to Optimo's downtown store. Tiffani was charming and so very helpful.
The saving has begun.
First on my list will be a LaSalle. I thought I knew what color but after looking at the website and all of your wonderful hats. I am totally undecided again.
I will have to consult with Graham or Tiffani again before deciding.

My teardrop Optimo Milan is my go-to warm weather hat. Mine has a wider brim, so it provides great sun protection. But yours looks great on you.
Mine has a couple of different-colored bands so I can swap out to match different looks.
I also have an Optimo panama, which is beautiful, but not as cool as the Milan.

Gentlemen, I heard a blurb on the radio yesterday that says that Illinois businesses are soon going to have to charge sales tax for out of state orders.

Sales tax in Illinois is 6.25% - HOWEVER Chicago sales tax is 9.25%. That is where Optimo is located.

That would be totally unfair. I already pay sales tax at a rate of 13% for all the stuff I buy from Optimo, because that is the tax rate where I live, and I get charged those taxes when Optimo's hats enter Canada. So now I'll instead have to pay a 22.25% tax rate on Optimo products?! [huh]
Thanks for posting that info though. Please keep us updated if you learn more about this horrible law.

Gentlemen, I am considering getting another Optimo. I have year to decide between the following: a crimson with a black ribbon, a black with an oxblood ribbon' a bottle green with a nicotine ribbon or a charcoal with a black ribbon. Which one should I get?
