I can’t either but my plan is to move a few to make space. I’m frustrated though that the retailer won’t respond to multiple inquiries. A simple yes or no question that would literally take 5 seconds to answer.

Went with Express, 2 days delivery. It was just five quid extra so why not. Only one 44 left, Ton. Looking at the measurements, I think it'd fit you as if you've custom ordered it.
Way too much money but if it's really as good as the internet says... Just as long as it keeps me warm and I'm more than happy.
I'm kinda tired of leather, TBH, dreading whether I'll get caught in the rain - I know nothing will happen, but the jacket will end up soaked and will have to dry for a week - or if the shearling will start going bald or whatever. Considering how much more happy denim jackets make me compared to leather, this does seem like a much smarter investment. I'm a weekend warrior too, I suppose. . .

This is a bittersweet post. I am not waiting for any new jackets and I declare I am done. Picked up my grail jacket two weeks back...an Aero water buffalo hide from a fellow lounger. It now goes with my Johnson's HH leather Hercules and Orchard goat A2. I am done, complete, finished. Also ordered my last fedora so now very much at loose ends and asking...."Now what the hell am I gonna do?"

Total abstinence is overrated unless it’s life and death stuff.
Fedoras and jackets not so much.
I’ve been on the wagon for both for a year or two. A couple hundred hats and about 50 jackets seemed excessive. Lol
I slip here and there when it’s something truly unique but i do not lust for nor buy just because it’s a good deal.
Took awhile for that degree of habitual buying to subside then it was ok to look without buying. Actually gave me much more appreciation for what others had and not how much i had in the race.
It gets easier, as they say.

I'm with you belfastboy. After my extreme satisfaction with two buffalo Thedis' plus my battered tan Teamster, I have completed my search. I too enjoy see other member's new jackets but now I just enjoy wearing my keepers.

My wife and I joke that I am the polar opposite of a minimalist.....she calls me a maximalist. I have the collectors gene. The sad aspect (to me) is that as a retired guy that has pretty much maxed out on storage space is that I have more than enough stuff to last me the rest of my life unless I plan to live to 150. At that point I may need a new pair of boots. I have reconciled that now I will cease much of my collecting urge but in reaching that decision I had to come to terms with how much energy I have put into the hunt. I regret it not a whit as I love the hunt but I do need to find something to replace 'the hunt' so I have an outlet for my creative energy. In the meantime I have amassed an awesome collection of fedoras, jackets, boots and mountain bikes.

Yeah, I've been there. In fact I'm there at least eleven times per year. One day I'm absolutely convinced I've reached the end of the journey and the next day I'm frantically searching for another cross zip.
The way stuff is built these days you could “retire” from this hobby at 22 and it would still outlast 3 generations!
