If I were going to purchase 1 denim jacket and I wanted the best of the best (durability, fit, quality, etc ) . Who would you recommend?
I agree with jrolfe that Iron Heart is the way to go as long as the numbers work for you. I wish that they made their jackets a little shorter in the body, and I do not understand why the arms are so damn long! Having said that, they are superbly well-made and if you get the fit right their denim jacket just feels and looks great.

There's Iron Heart and then there's everyone else. In my opinion nobody even comes close in terms a seriously heavy, well built, denim jacket.

Is that Sherpa lining
Yes it is. Very happy with the jacket. I use it when working outside and it is perfect for that.

Will add to the others saying that IH is the way to go for denim jackets. I have 2 from them and really, I can’t imagine a better product.

I was about to say the same thing. Iron Heart all the way.

There are some companies that deal in more accurate repros, then there are others that focus on quicker fades and stuff like that but in terms of durability, fit and quality goes, there just isn't anything else that even compares. No exaggeration.

It’s an Iron Heart kinda day. @Monitor I'm loving this more & more each day! Sleeve creases & subtle electric blues starting to show on the cuffs already.

Does Iron heart have liners they can put in their jackets ? Didn’t notice that option on their page.

Nope. Not an option either though there are a few models that come with liners, like that Lee Storm Rider most recently. But most don't.

The sleeves are long to make up for the narrow shoulders? Every one I see I like seem to have 17" or so shoulders for my size in all the other measurements. Granted I only recently started looking but whats up with 17" shoulders?

I agree that the shoulder measurements do seem to run narrow across their range. The long sleeves don’t really make up for this in my opinion, at least not on the type three jackets I have tried with narrow shoulders. I think that they make those extra long sleeves in order to facilitate “epic” arm creasing. Nothing wrong with that but I would be happier with sleeves that fit well from the get go.
I do love their jackets, despite my griping, and I am always on the lookout for one of the heavier denim’s with wider shoulders that would fit me well.

Couldn't agree more. I feel like IH could chop 1" off body and sleeve across the size range in most cases. I feel there's a bit of too short paranoia in the patterns. But given the fact that (for the most part) they don't shrink, I find it unfounded.

Please don’t - that’s why I love them [emoji3]
