I've owned a bunch of 60s / 70s suede truckers. Schott and Pioneer Wear made the nicest ones with the Schott having the edge because of their thick suede. I never managed to find a Levi's that had a proper fit.

Agreed. Schott suede trucker is by far the best I've seen. Levi's is a joke compared to it.

This could be the oldest jacket I own. The original that contemporary makers are duplicating for their high $$ reproductions.
I've thought the same with the same back adjustment I have seen on Shanhouse. These jackets were in the catalogs through out the 20s and early 30s. Probably a style made by others.

In my opinion I own some fairly nice jackets made from good quality naked cowhide . However, this early 2000’s Vanson comp weight is the nicest, heaviest hide that I have touched, felt or worn. Because of how heavy it is ….it is considered weight training when I wear it.

Getting more attached to this jacket the more it breaks in. Stiff horsehide, it’s like body armor in cold weather.

Why limit myself to just one? I wore four cross-zips today!!! 
. Thought I'd amuse myself (and TFL) with a snowy comparison. It's fun to compare the cuts and fit of these 50's jackets. We won't haggle about an inch here and there fit-wise; I love them all. I welcome comments on the cuts! From left to right: Red Label Cal, Guide Master by Wolf, Kit Karson, Spiegel.
