I'm studying Law, I guess that's pretty vintage! Seriously though, I make jams and preserves and bake cakes and all that sort of thing. I just need a pretty apron to do it in!
Hi Miss C,
I don't know if these are in your price range, but these dresses are amazing, I'm coveting the maxi dress for myself!

I'm a trainee paralegal, but working part time in a supermarket to afford training. Also planning to go back to uni, to get my LLB, then pass the Bar.

Thanks for your help, Lady Day. I know how to replace a zip, I was just wary as the dress might be a bit fragile, being so old. I'm not actually sure how it broke, it might have got pulled or something, but it just came apart. Thanks for the tip on larger teeth, that's something I'm going to try.
The metal zip on my favourite 50's dress has broken, the teeth have come apart from the main zip pull. Does anyone know what would be best to fix it? I don't really want to lose the original zip, but the only thing I can think of is replacing the zip.
Basically, can I find original zips any...

Active or a couch potato? Both. I was in stage school, I did Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Modern dance, as well as various instruments. Hated every bit of it. I liked Cartoon Network and 70's music...
Rue,
I always found it makes you wonder about who lived there, what they did, and that sort of thing. I just have a weird hobby for abandoned places, I actually went and saw my Grandmother's childhood house in the middle of nowhere in Scotland, and it's begining to fall apart, and it's just...
