Sadly, I'll never be able to wear this one (comfortably) unless I have is sized smaller. I really do not want to do that, so I'm passing it along to you guys and gals.
From what I can tell this is from the mid 30s. I found a newspaper article advertising this model from 1936. First page...
These will probably never make it to my rotation, so I'd rather have them go to a better home than just sit and collect dust. Any questions, just ask. Paypal preferred

Nice tan color. The ribbon hat a brown/purple tone to it and is probably not...
This one is in great shape. I thought I'd pass it along to my long oval friends though.
5 inch crown (bashed)
2 1/4 brim (shorter than I usually see)
It has some staining around the brim binding, but it does not detract from this hat's overall beauty.

Has a few of these around the brim. Nothing to cry home about.

Tan Mallory
Five inch crown (open)
~Two and a half inch brim
Very nice deep brown/purple liner There are a few light stains on the liner and a small hole in the sweatband. Also has a small green stain on the ribbon towards the back of the hat. Seems to be crayon. It should come out, though...
I purchased this one on OFAS thinking it was 6 7/8, but it turned out to be 7 1/8[huh]
This looks to be one of the older ones, as is it unlined and at one point had a Stetson Stratoliner sticker with an airplane on it. The felt is super soft and light. It also has a TWA plane pin on the...
I found this great hat and wanted to pass it along to the loungers. This is an amazing Stetson Whippet with no signs of wear at all. The color is a wonderful olive brown/moss green. I can't describe how magnificent this fedora is so I will let the pictures do the talking. The felt is super...
This hat looks like it was never worn. I finally found a brown dress fedora (other than my Indy Akubra). Any idea on the dates? I am guessing late 40's. The only problem is that it is just a tad bit too small. I think that with a haircut it should be fine. If not, is it recommended that I...
My parents are traveling to Ecuador and are planning on purchasing a Panama hat for me. I don't want them to splurge on the montecristi type, but I at least want a medium quality/weave. Any input? Photos maybe? Thanks
I just bought this hat on eBay. It is a Stetson Whippet. Being my first vintage lid, I would like to know what you all think? Did I make a good purchase? It has a five inch crown and three inch brim. It looks black but it is more of a dark gray.
I have seen some hats that have a "soiling" issue on the crown or on the liner but what does that mean? Does anyone have a picture of this so called soil? Is it dark? Do you put it in the ground?
Sorry if this has been touched on before but I couldn't find anything when I searched.
