    Repro N-1 Deck Jacket Differences????

I've got one of the more recent BR iterations of the N-1 and agree with what others have said about its warmth and comfort. I don't find the alpaca itchy or irritating in the slightest and like the fairly slim cut.

"and that's when I tried to hit him..."

Do you mean it proves that it's ok to do so, or not? I'm genuinely interested in your answer as I wrestle with this one myself.

    Nice Himel Check Heron

Not for everyone, I guess, but I really like Himel's tweed jackets. There was another one that David was wearing on the cover of "Clutch" magazine that looks even cooler, IMHO.

    Himel Brothers Leather

I've got some well worn-in black Chippewa's that should do the trick. :) Maybe something for the next fit pics...

    Himel Brothers Leather

Thanks for the kind comments, gentlemen. Ishmael, I agonised over the colour for a long time and in the end went with black. Black just seems to go better with the rest of my wardrobe, plus brown wouldn't have suited the burgundy lining.

    Himel Brothers Leather

The quality of the stitchwork on this jacket is amazing. I've got a bunch of leather jackets made by Japanese and Western companies and was just blown away by the attention to detail. Buttons, by the way, are vintage melamine. Of course, this beauty is proudly made in Canada...

    Himel Brothers Leather

Steering this thread back on track... This is my new Himel Brothers Canuck Jacket in black oil tanned horsehide. I'm a big fan of David Himel's work and can't tell you how excited I was to receive this jacket. The style is derived from an old work jacket which David picked up made by the...

    Himel Brothers Leather

Yep, I really like that. Is that photo from the Himel Bros. website?

    Himel Brothers Leather

Thank you, sir. The style and cut may not be everyone's cup of tea but I think the photos help show the quality of the materials used.

Is the Aero 40th Halfbelt no longer available?

^ Seconded. I'm a big fan of the old Levi's suede jackets and would love to see some pics of Aero's offerings.

    Himel Brothers Leather

Several posters have made considered and very reasonable comments above. On the issue of price, perhaps it is worth pointing out that, following the recent GW price rise, Himel Bros. jackets are now in the same price bracket as GW. The $1950 price tag for his jackets in Self Edge are, I...

    Himel Brothers Leather

Picking up on one of Ishmael's original points, if we're going to discuss the issue of Himel Bros' prices, wouldn't this discussion be better under the following topic? http://www.thefedoralounge.com/showthread.php?62833-Himel-Brothers-Leather-Co.

The State of the Art in Japanese Outerwear: Freewheelers and Co 2012-13 Collection!

Nope. I'm still firmly in the beach cloth camp. This colour combination doesn't appeal to me.

The State of the Art in Japanese Outerwear: Freewheelers and Co 2012-13 Collection!

I quite like the top one ^. It looks just like a Himel A-1 but done in thick beach cloth.
