I have seen this picture before, but now more than ever I could use one of these. Forecast here for monday's low is -19f. Overnight shipping and Saturday delivery please. :D
I changed my order to a BG CD that was in stock. It shipped soon after. Been wearing it ever since. Great hat, but plastic tip liner keeps sticking to the top of my head and pulling the liner out when I take the hat off. Great fishing hat. Looks great with my A-2 as well. Lots of...
Tried the search function and didn't come up with much. My team is halfway through our Movember fundraiser. We've raised a few bucks. Ok I've raised a few bucks. My company is offering a 100% match up to $500. I don't want to leave money on the table. Any donations would be appreciated...
Got mine from EA last week. Dry bashed it with a nice deep 6 point. I had the rain set it on a fishing trip to western North Carolina last weekend. Really a great hat. I had a bit of an issue with the liner opening at tieback and the plastic tip sticking to my bald head, but great wearing...
Regardless, answering a distributor's email within 4 weeks shouldn't be an issue. I can't believe Akubra would ignore repeated emails with nary a production update. I'm sure I'll enjoy the hat immensely, but the odd way the order has been handled gives me pause. I'm sure I'm the oddball...
The issues were all with Akubra. Lack of contact from suppliers is a huge issue for me, but I can't imagine being in retail and having no feedback after several weeks. I changed my order from silver belly to bluegrass green which was in stock. Hat ships tomorrow. Sam is a nice fellow to work...
Trouble With Everything Australian?
I've been dealing with Sam at EA. He's courteous and promptly returns emails. However, I'm now in my 16th week of waiting for a 7 1/8 silver belly Campdraft. I would expected such a protracted process for a bespoke hat, but a normal sized production model...
I think the brim width is spot on. I'd tighten the pinch and shorten the crown a bit. With your long face, I think shortening the crown will add a bit of balance.
My Great Grandfather was in the Pits at the 1913 Indy 500. Here's a photo of the winner. They drank 6 bottles of champagne during the six hour race.
Here he is astride his 1912 Redding Standard.
I took the idea from a local hat shop that uses wires. I'd also seen the pictures from Optimo and though to do it this way. I do have a nice brush to keep the dust down. Its also in a spare room that sees little use. I haven't had a huge dust problem to date. I do tend to snap the snapable...
Just picked this up on ebay. It was dellivered today. I'm really liking this Tropicool. I'm not sure its age, but it looks brand new. I'm hoping to start a riot with this late season straw.
D
Picked up this tropicool straw. I'm loving this hat. Light and cool. Looks brand new. It may be into felt hat season, but if this is wrong I don't want to be right. http://i797.photobucket.com/albums/yy251/smokepiper/8697cf3e-99e8-442d-86e9-8d6728fdcabd_zpsb8db0e7c.jpg...
Just purchased from the same seller. Seems to be a really good seller. There were a few sizing issues on my order and he exchanged and worked with me to make everyone happy. The 5x is much nicer than the 3x. the 3 was a bit "cardboardy" I exchanged up for a 5x and the hand is so much nicer...
Out hiking afield with the kids at a local nature park. Wearing a converted resistor cattleman. This was my first conversion from about a year back. Still love this hat.
Great pics all. Been lurking to see what everyone's wearing for a while. There sure are some great lids out there. Mid 90's royal Stetson. Cheap and comfy. This one is heavy in the rotation[/IMG]
