What do you use to shave?

My own shave ritual... - Immediately after shower. - A little lotion beforehand helps. Nothing special, just a decent hand lotion. - Brush, mug, soap (Williams is good, but Red Earth has some nice scents). - Gillette Mach 3. - Shave WITH the grain. (For added closeness, lather and...

    Informal tie-clip poll

I don't usually wear ties, but when I do, I almost always go without a tie clip. But one of my favorites is shaped like an old style pull-tab. It's a great conversation piece!

    fountain pens

The Monteverdes I have write pretty well, and have a nice heft to them. Not much new overall on 110. But the area around Huntington village is in a constant state of flux.

    Pomade, anyone?

Anyone interested in some American Crew products? At someone's recommendation, I bought some AC Pomade. It wasn't quite what I liked. So I then tried their Fiber. Also, wasn't too enthused. They're both almost full. Make me an offer, and their yours! (To the moderators - If this post...

    fountain pens

Just wanted to put in my $.02... They haven't been mentioned yet, but I have a couple of Monteverde fountain pens. I'd say they were "middle of the road", but I like them. Also a Waterman Etalon extra fine point which is great when small writing is called for.

Sure! Once you give me permission to post photos! ;)

    Head grew? Or hat shrunk?

Thanks for the input, all. I suppose I'll have to find a hat stretcher. I used to have a styrofoam head that could have served the purpose. And, no Kentucky Blues, my hair hasn't grown - if anything the opposite. It's thinner and shorter today than in 1977 (go figure!). And thanks...

    What is COW?

Sorry if it's been asked and answered, but I've searched, and haven't found. I keep seeing references to "COW", but I have no idea what it is. Can anyone help? Thanks!

    Head grew? Or hat shrunk?

People haven't been saying nice things about me lately, so my head hasn't gotten bigger. :p So... Can a hat shrink? If so, how to re-size it? I have a Scottish cap that I bought in Edinburough in 1977. I wore it a lot for a few years, then put it away. And now that I've taken it out of storage...

    Another Newbie with many questions...

I'm not sure, though - I forgot the name. But that looks like it. I'm not a librarian, just an engineer with a lot of useless knowledge in his head. Like, I know who Winkydink was ("Winkydink... and you, Winkydink... and me." Cartoon character. The show encouraged kids to draw on a special...

    Another Newbie with many questions...

Welcome fellow new guy! My promotion is on the way, they assure me. :) It's funny... The Prescott and the Siena were two of the hats that I was eyeing when I checked out their site. I actually bought a Lagomarsino (the one on my noggin in my avatar) at JJ Hat Shop, and never made it up to...

If I had to pick one girl from the golden era

I haven't given this as much thought as you all, but I'm with LuckyLighter... I'm torn between Rita and Hedy. And Hedy was a genius. Did you know she invented "frequency hopping"? http://www.inventions.org/culture/female/lamarr.html...

    Just got from JJ...

Whew!! I'm glad I got it to work. (I will definitely be playing with that web site tonight. I've got a bunch of photos to upload and share with friends and family.) BT - That's what I was thinking for my next hat. Something "dressier"; higher crown, maybe wider brim, in gray. Thanks for the...
