    Bought a 25 beaver OR cheap, had a moth hole right through at the brim crown point. Just for fun I bought some elbow patches , best color match I could.     Broken shoelace

    Interesting , not sure if anyone does this. Broke a shoelace and instead of fighting to get the frayed bit back through the hole or moistening it you can wrap a small piece of tape around the fray and it slips right back through. If you have easy access to tape of course.
