I've been holding onto this one for a while, due to the rarity of its size. Time to put it on eBay.

A late 1940s, high quality ("Tailored at Fashion Park", handsewn buttonholes, pick-stitched lapels) tan gabardine double-breasted suit in a true, marked size 44 Regular!

Condition is very, very good. NO stains, smells, shininess, unraveling, fading and/or holes or nibbles. A small nick on the left sleeve cuff, and some fraying on the inside shoulder lining. (See photos.)

Wish it fit me ... I'd keep it for myself!

It's a good 'un, Cookie. Quality gabardine, well made. From Desmond's, then one of Los Angeles's most expensive department stores. (Long gone, though.)

It's going up on eBay (along with other things) tomorrow -Friday- evening. No more delays: it'll be up there.

Since you asked, my eBay i.d. is crosby_square
