Aero speedway vs. 1930's slim half belt?

Hi folks. Can anyone elucidate the differences btwn the newer Speedway and the slim 30's halfbelt? They look similar...wondering if a speedway is in my future!

Front - The Speedway has a panel at the bottom of the jacket and commensurate seam compared to the 30's HB.
Back - The Speedway has a seam in the middle of the back panel and slightly different yoke when compared to the 30's HB.

Fit - tried an XL Speedway on and it seemed to fit slightly larger than a size 44 30's half belt. It seemed to fit like a 30's Halfbelt with respect to the pattern. The speedway has more stitching and panels so it would really lend itself to contrast stitching and/or two-tone construction. I think a black/brown build could look pretty incredible.

If you're in the US you should call Insurrection / Thurston Brothers or drop a post on the Insurrection thread. Wade and Carrie could describe the fit differences much more explicitly and ship you a fit jacket so you can get the correct size for yourself.
