always watching for nice hats...

I bet a lot of hat buffs are always alert to the sight of a nice hat. as regards Panama I'm nearly always disappointed when I stalk closer. this might be unfair ... or not. I'm alert to a fine weave. but nearly always it ends up a fabric hat. looks good from distance though. if wearer likes it no foul. but my thrill disappears. I can't afford tightest weave but I wear the nicest I can. I even have a custom w special venting. well, I hope my hats sometimes give someone a thrill. ppl do remark. I'm not a hat pro by any means but I wonder if 1 in a thousand even know a thing... I do like to give looks pride of place over arcana. (pardon thumb texting. flying from MI to CA for swing dance getaway w two rolled optimos in carry on)
