The increased volume of advertisements are unbearable! I will gladly pay money to eliminate the ads.
I just got done working a 12 hour shift and was gonna see if anyone got a new jacket today and BAM! Ads EVERYWHERE!! I went straight to this thread to see if I was the only one. I guess not. Adds right in the middle of posts!!! The forum is UNUSABLE like this! I hope this can be fixed.
Wow, on my phone there are ads embedded in every post in the Freewheelers thread!
Please stop this madness @mods!
glad im not the only one having ads spam problem. I am sure the community needs it but maybe some moderation can be done?
I thought it was my system. This is annoying.
you can also see it positively: a good reason to spend a little less time here. lol
If the goal is to reduce patronage, the strategy will likely succeed.
Not sure what to make of the lack of input from the Mods. @Peacoat ? @Edward ?
I haven't noticed the ads...
Please see Nathan's answer in this thread:
"We just changed ad partners, so hang with us while we get things sorted".
There you go, guys. Add it to wherever & whatever you can. I haven't seen an internet ad literally in years.
EDIT: Oh dear Lord, I just opened TFL through incognito mode, where the extensions like Adblock don't work. The ads are literally parts of peoples posts!
Is CXL steerhide good for a slimmer/snugger cross zip or might it be a bit too restrictive/uncomfortable?
I just installed Adblock plus. What a relief.
If you access the forum through your iPhone (safari) I just found this app called BlockBear that hides all the ads. Thanks Monitor for reminding us the ad blockers are a thing!
yep, been using since forever I only see advertisement on my phone.
Thank you @Monitor!
It'll be okay once you break it in.
Just installed AdBlockPlus. Its brilliant! Thanks @Monitor and @dudewuttheheck (via PM). Great suggestion!
So I'm looking to have Dehner make some Tanker boots out of horse rump. Any idea how much I would need? The horse pieces are 3-4 square feet so they're kind of on the small side... but I know many people have done Engineer boots with them and those are usually around 10" or so. I would think 3-4 hides would be okay?
Can someone explain to me why some maker fold leather like this on the back of the jacket, what's the benefit of doing that? Thanks
I've always assumed it's to give more room in the shoulder. Not as extreme as an "Action Back" or shoulder gusset, but functioning toward the same end. A back that narrows from the shoulder to waist. Much like how pleated trousers give more room below the waist.
