A comedian and a food critic endeavour to live by an authentic diet of a particular period of history, whatever that entails.

This series one of the programs will focus on the 1920's and another on the 1950's I've enjoyed some of the programs in the past so I'm looking forward to the new series.

Here's a Wikipedia article on them:

Has anyone else seen this?

I absolutely LOVE this series! Giles Coren is a matinee idol if ever there was one!!

It's amazing how much people's lifestyle and diet have changed, even since the 1920s. It always amuses me when the doctor tells them that the period food is going to be incredibly unhealthy and that they'll gain weight etc. and then it turns out they've lost weight and their cholesterol is down too!! Makes me wonder whether doctors know what they're talking about at all!

I think it's all the artificial additives in modern food which cause high cholesterol, allergies etc. rather than the foods themselves...

Did you know they also did the 1940s in Series 1?
