Can anyone tell me anything about the brand "Ace"/"American Classics"?

I'm watching an auction for a hat of the above description - the description states that it is vintage but it looks rather too new from the look of the lettering on the sweatband, making me wonder if it is a modern make. I did look online but couldn't find any help there, which leads me to ask if any of my esteemed fellow forum members has any knowledge of it?
