I put that on my watch list just because I liked it. Too small for me, though.

    Good pick up.

It looks blue to indigo. Nice. I've been to Wenatchee, Washington, on the way to visit an aunt in Walla Walla, WA... small agricultural town for the most part.

Nice catch, Max. It has been listed before. I kept the pics from that listing. Here they are for a colour reference. Judging by the label photo the sweatband needs fixing. cro1.jpg cro2.jpg cro3.jpg cro4.jpg

Thanks. My wife is from Ecuador, and she wasn't familiar with the word, either. :)

Just got back from an overnight teaching/shooting trip in Springfield and found this waiting for me.

3X Beaver OR. I went back and forward with the seller for a couple of days until I got it to a price I was comfortable with. I wasn't sure what I was going to get, but I was amazingly surprised.

Nothing that a little Jiffy steamer treatment can't take care of[emoji106][emoji275]

My phone rang and the caller ID showed a caller from Mexico. Max was at a party and saw a hat on eBay that he knew I’d want that wouldn’t last and he called me. How’s that for looking out for your friends!

That's what I call a solid[emoji106] I have done that also and sometimes I feel I'm more excited about it than the person I'm giving the heads up too[emoji1]

Helping a friend is always a pleasure. I'm here because a friend pointed out the Lounge to me in a conversation. I have to admit, I'm skeptical of internet sites and social media, but the Lounge has proven to be a place of true ladies and gentlemen.

I used to belong to shaving sites, golf sites, etc, etc, etc. It became more of a headache than fun.

The Lounge is a great place!

  18. That's great Brent -- you're going to love that from what I hear about Fortys. Kudos to Max! I'm a bit concerned about this party though ... Max was surfing eBay there?

    I agree.
In March of 2018 I had to go to Chicago. I had been watching a series called "Justified". In the final episodes there was a pistol duel where both of the duelists' hats flew to the ground. Someone on the 'net said the bad guy's hat was made by Optimo in Chicago, so I went there and bought my first good hat. (I had a Stetson El Presidente I thought was a good hat, but after Optimo I knew better)

I had no idea it would become an addiction. I had a question about hats a couple of weeks later, and found the Lounge. I only had one question, I thought, and was annoyed I had to register in the site for such a small thing. The first screen name I tried was taken, so I just wrote the beginning of my office's email address, drmaxtejeda, to satisfy the registration requirement. I was just going to ask my question and leave, I thought, so I didn't care if I chose a good screen name.

And again, I had no idea that The Fedora Lounge would become a big part of my daily life, or that I would meet Bowen, Brent, Bill, Daniel, Ken, Bob, Stefan, Steve, Steven, Eric, Alan, Douglas, Jim, Charlie, Héctor, etc.
The only member I've actually met in person is Daniel, yet I feel I have a whole bunch of new friends I wouldn't have met otherwise, and that my life is richer because of it.

That reminds me, I just came back from a reunion of club friends from when I was a teenager. Those were golden years for us all. Many of them I hadn't seen since I left for my postgrad in Chicago, nearly 40 years ago. We look so different now we had to wear name tags to help us know who was who.[IMG][IMG]

I'm always surfing eBay, Bob. I hate when a good one gets away. [emoji4]
