And if I send a seller an offer and he doesn't accept it, but later decides it was a good offer, can he send me a message asking if my offer is still open? I mean, is my info registered on the listing, so that he can contact me later?
I have sometimes made offers that are more than reasonable for a listing that is clearly overpriced, and the item doesn't sell, but a seller has not contacte me back later.

If the offer is below what I have set as a minimum I don’t ever see that an offer was made.

12 photos are included, but you can pay extra for additional. You can also pay extra for eBay to “promote” your item. 10% is cheap when compared to auction houses, but it still sucks to pay it. Worse, eBay almost always sides with the buyer if there is any problem.

Trust me, it’s a lot more fun buying than selling. :)

Normally I'm not one to point out & correct a Sellers errors or to tell them what they should or shouldn't do. I just ask for the information I need to make my decision on whether I'm interested in bidding or not. I'm not OCD about it. But here's an example of excellent salesmanship...NOT!

I recently asked a Seller some typical questions on measurements. The description in their listing was rather short & vague. After about a wk with no reply I sent a second request. They couldn't be bothered to reply the first time but a reply came back from my second request informing me that the Seller was listing for a relative who had the hat in storage, & therefore neither of them could get the answers I sought.

Yet I'm supposed to jump at the chance to overpay for this hat based on their uninformed description? I don't think so. If they can't be bothered, neither can I.

Here’s a Shudde Bros. dress western I won a while back. The seller didn’t know it’s size and the hat was cheap. What made me buy it was that it looked to have a felted brim edge and the sweatband looked great. Well, the sweatband is completely dry rotted, but it does indeed have a felted brim edge and the brim is 2 7/8” wide! It measures approximately size 7 1/8 and the open crown is 5 1/2 inches. The felt is better than any vintage 3X I’ve held and I suspect that this was a higher end model. The sweat needs to be replaced. I’m not sure What this hat’s destiny is, but I have some ideas.
