Congratulations on your new "Dodds."
Not an Ebay hat, but a little victory anyway (and hat related). Managed to score this box of hat clips. Eccles seems to be a bit too generic to pin it to any specific shop.
Lambournes of Birmingham has been around since 1886 and made all sorts of small fashion accessories.
A box of these has shown up here before (see: https://www.thefedoralounge.com/thr...-items-of-interest.54417/page-27#post-2059207) , but they're not common to say the least.
Very cool Stefan
Thanks, Alan. Quite chuffed to have found these to be honest.
Woohoo. $14,000. That’s high for even the Japanese market.
What else does it do?
Read the description of the item. Pretty funny I must say!
I was wondering!
And then it was sold, so it seems.
Not sure but didn’t the seller have to pay fees based on the “humongous” listed fee??
I think you pay the 10% final price fee. Dang, nice hat.
So I just received this very nice Lee hat, and the felt is super soft. But the bound edge has come loose in the front and on the side. This was not described in the listing, but its such a great hat that I am going to keep it. Anyone know if a loosened bound edge can be repaired?
Lee Smartlee... Very cool. Forgot it was coming.. this one actually arrived today. Here are auction pics...
Will be posting in New hats soon!
that is unfortunate.. they can be stitched back on
A pork-pie style backbow Champ. Not sure the size... It was a couldn’t pass it up for the price hat
Sure, $790 is a bit high for an Akubra Fed IV, but it has a custom ribbon and the shipping is free!
Must be looking for the drunk vote....err bid.
But it has the Raiders bash. Surely that has to account for something. Maybe the seller wore the hat while watching the movie? Or once took a nap on an airplane with this hat covering their face?
THANKS BRENT! I NEEDED THAT!
I guess this one can be filed under a gripe: I wonder what it was like in into original condition. The owner was surely under the influence of something when he cut off the Mode Edge and trimmed the brim to 1 7/8 inches.
Sadly that happened in the 60s when guys took older hats to the hat store and told them to update the look to the 60s stingy style. I had a wonderful Whippet from the early 40s that some dope 60's-ized.
